Cross Ground GTX is an ultralight backpacking boot, and each element has been designed for long hikes with heavy loads, starting from the sole unit. The asymmetric design that characterizes Cross Ground GTX matches the natural ergonomics of the foot, both functionally, for instance the tongue, as well as aesthetically, with its two different lace loops. The features don’t stop there: the upper surprises with its two faces, having the internal side in suede, and the external side in fabric with over-injections that protect against abrasions, reduce seams and bring down total weight. The lining incorporates the GORE-TEX® Extended Comfort membrane providing outstanding protection from the elements and climate comfort whatever your activity. A single bicast rand protects the shoe from toe to heel, interspersed with thermoplastic geometric shapes injected directly into the fabric mesh. Every detail facilitates the anatomy of the foot: the asymmetric bellows tongue in lycra ensures thickness to be kept to a minimum, resulting in minimal creases, thus reducing pressure points on the instep. The design provides maximum weight reduction: the lycra collar means the height of the shoe is slightly lower, which also optimises fit, and metal components have been eliminated.
